Biography
Matt Selman is an American television writer and producer. He grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993, and began his career writing spec scripts before securing a writing credit on Seinfeld in 1996.
In 1997 Selman joined the writing staff of The Simpsons, where he has remained as a writer, producer and showrunner. He has written or co-written numerous episodes and co-wrote the screenplay for The Simpsons Movie (2007). He has also contributed to several Simpsons video games.
Selman has shared multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on The Simpsons and received an Annie Award in 1999 and a Writers Guild of America Award in 2004.
