Biography
Steven DePaul is an American television director and producer. Born in 1952 in Washington Heights, New York, he began his career in the music industry before moving into television production.
He worked for 11 years on NYPD Blue (1993), serving as producer and directing multiple episodes. As producer he shared in the 1995 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series and the 1993 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama; the series received further Emmy nominations in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999. He also won a George Foster Peabody Award for directing the episode "Raging Bulls". DePaul has directed episodes of numerous series including Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008), Person of Interest (2011), Grimm (2011), Bones (2005), The 100 (2014), The Originals (2013), The Good Doctor (2017) and NCIS: Los Angeles (2009).
