Biography

Susan Lyall is a costume designer whose credits include Unsane (2018), Side Effects (2013) and King of the Hill (1993). She has worked repeatedly with director Steven Soderbergh on those films and on the series Mosaic (2018).

Lyall arrived in New York in the early 1980s from Southern Ontario, Canada, initially to study fashion design. She began her career in theatre with the Circle Repertory Company before moving into independent film. She has designed costumes for numerous features with directors including Jodie Foster (Money Monster, The Beaver, Home for the Holidays, Little Man Tate), Robert Schwentke (RED, R.I.P.D., Flightplan) and Aaron Sorkin (Molly's Game, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Being the Ricardos).

Other notable credits include Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021), The Report (2019) and Sisters (2015).
