Biography
Tamara Deverell is a Canadian production designer and art director. She began her career in Montreal working in art departments alongside designer François Séguin, later serving as art director on films including David Cronenberg’s Crash (1996) and eXistenZ (1999), Guillermo del Toro’s Mimic (1997) and X-Men (2000). She has maintained a long collaboration with del Toro across multiple projects.
Her production design credits include Nightmare Alley (2021), Priscilla (2023) and Frankenstein (2025). She has also worked on television series such as The Strain (2014–2017), Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2019) and Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022). Deverell received an Academy Award for Frankenstein and an Emmy Award for Cabinet of Curiosities.
