Biography
Terence Dudley (28 September 1919 – 25 December 1988) was a British television director, producer and writer. Born in West Ham, London, he worked in the theatre for nearly two decades before joining the BBC in 1958.
He produced series including Doomwatch (1970–1972) and Survivors (1975–1977), for which he also wrote and directed episodes. As a director he contributed to programmes such as Colditz, Secret Army and All Creatures Great and Small (1978–1983), on which he also provided adaptations. His only directing credit on Doctor Who (1963) was the 1980 serial Meglos.
Dudley later wrote three serials for the Fifth Doctor: Four to Doomsday (1982), Black Orchid (1982) and The King's Demons (1983). He also wrote the 1981 pilot K-9 and Company and novelised his Doctor Who-related scripts for Target Books.
