Biography
Toni Graphia is an American television writer and producer. She was born on 11 May 1960 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and attended Louisiana State University before earning a B.A. in communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Graphia began her career as a researcher on China Beach before moving into writing. Her credits include episodes of Quantum Leap (1989), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993), Roswell (1999), Carnivàle (2003), Battlestar Galactica (2004), where she served as co-executive producer and writer on three episodes, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008), Alcatraz (2012) and Outlander (2014).
Her work on the first season of Battlestar Galactica contributed to a 2005 Peabody Award for the series. She has also taught screenwriting at the University of Southern California, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of California, Santa Barbara and Emerson College.
