Biography
William Emms (29 January 1930 – May 1993) was an Australian-born schoolteacher and scriptwriter for British television. He contributed to series including Z-Cars (from 1965), Callan (1969–1970) and Doctor Who (1963).
His best-known work for television was the 1965 Doctor Who serial Galaxy 4. He later novelised the story for Target Books and wrote the 1986 gamebook Mission to Venus in the Make Your Own Adventure with Doctor Who range. Emms wrote for numerous other programmes between 1963 and 1980, among them Redcap, R3, Ace of Wands, Crown Court and Crossroads.
