Biography
William Klayer is a cinematographer and occasional director, also credited as Bill Klayer. He served as director of photography on the television series Law & Order (1990) for 90 episodes from 2003 to 2010 and directed two episodes in 2009 and 2010.
Based in New York City, Klayer began in the camera and electrical department before becoming a cinematographer on more than two dozen television series. His credits include Suits (2011), The Following (2013), FBI: Most Wanted (2020) and 30 Rock (2006). He has also worked as a camera operator on feature films including The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and Run All Night (2015).
Klayer directed the short film Under a Stone (2015) and won Best Director Short Film at the 2016 Big River Film Festival.
