Biography

Willie Garson was an American actor. He appeared in numerous films and television series, including small roles as Phil's Assistant Kenny in Groundhog Day (1993) and Guy in Restaurant in Being John Malkovich (1999).

Born William Garson Paszamant on 20 February 1964 in Highland Park, New Jersey, Garson graduated from Wesleyan University with a BFA in theatre and received an MFA from Yale Drama School. He was best known for playing Stanford Blatch on the HBO series Sex and the City (1998–2004) and its two films, and Mozzie on the USA Network series White Collar (2009–2014). Other notable credits include roles in Mars Attacks! (1996), The Rock (1996), There's Something About Mary (1998) and Freaky Friday (2003), as well as recurring parts on Stargate SG-1 and the reboot of Hawaii Five-0.

Garson died on 21 September 2021 in Los Angeles, California.
