Biography
Albert S. D'Agostino was an American art director and production designer. He began working in Hollywood in the 1920s after a period as a stage designer, and held positions in the art departments at MGM, Selznick and Universal before becoming supervising art director at RKO from 1939 to 1958.
He contributed to the art direction or production design of hundreds of films, including The Magnificent Ambersons (1942), Cat People (1942), Notorious (1946), Out of the Past (1947) and The Thing from Another World (1951). D'Agostino was nominated for five Academy Awards in the category of Best Art Direction. He also directed the 1943 film Zombies on Broadway.
