Biography
Amy Roberts is a British costume designer. She trained at Croydon Art School and began her career in theatre and at the BBC before moving into television and film.
She is known for her work on The Crown (2016–2023), for which she received multiple Emmy and BAFTA nominations and won two Primetime Emmys; other credits include Brassed Off (1996), Oliver Twist (2007), The Virgin Queen (2005–2006), Call the Midwife (2012–) and Swallows and Amazons (2016). She received an Olivier Award nomination for her theatre designs on The Misanthrope.
Roberts has also designed for opera and illustrated books. She was born in London in 1949.
