Biography
Anthony Wilson was an American television writer and producer. Born Carey Anthony Wilson Jr on 2 May 1926 in Los Angeles, California, he died there on 13 April 1978. He was the son of screenwriter Carey Wilson, one of the founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Wilson began his career producing episodes of anthology series including Alcoa Theatre and Goodyear Theatre. He later worked as a writer, story editor and story consultant on numerous series such as The Twilight Zone (1959), Bewitched (1964), The Addams Family (1964), The Fugitive (1963), The Invaders (1967) and Land of the Giants (1968), and served as story editor on Lost in Space (1965). He created the series Cade's County (1971), Banacek (1972) and the television adaptation of Planet of the Apes (1974), and received a Primetime Emmy nomination.
