Biography
Arthur Malet (24 September 1927 – 18 May 2013) was an English actor. Born Vivian Arthur Rivers Malet in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, he emigrated to the United States in the 1950s. He began his career on stage and won two Drama Desk Awards in 1957.
Malet appeared in numerous films, frequently cast as characters older than his actual age. His credits include Mr. Dawes Jr. in Mary Poppins (1964), the village elder in Young Frankenstein (1974), the graveyard keeper in Halloween (1978), and Tootles in Hook (1991). He also provided voice roles in The Black Cauldron (1985) and Anastasia (1997).
