Biography
Barry Robert Pepper is a Canadian-American actor. He was born on 4 April 1970 in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. He studied acting at the Vancouver Actors Studio and began his career with a recurring role on the Canadian television series Madison.
Pepper gained prominence for his role as Private Daniel Jackson in Saving Private Ryan (1998). His other notable film roles include Dean Stanton in The Green Mile (1999), Roger Maris in 61 (2001), Lucky Ned Pepper in True Grit (2010), and Vince in the Maze Runner sequels The Scorch Trials (2015) and The Death Cure* (2018).
In 2011, Pepper won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for portraying Robert F. Kennedy in the miniseries The Kennedys. He has received Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award nomination.
