Biography
Blake Neely is an American composer, conductor and orchestrator. Born in Paris, Texas, he studied linguistics at the University of Texas and is self-taught in music after being rejected by the university's music school.
Neely has composed for numerous television series, including The Mentalist, You and the Arrowverse shows Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl. He collaborated with Hans Zimmer and Geoff Zanelli on the score for the miniseries The Pacific (2010). His other film credits include work as orchestrator or conductor on The Iron Giant (1999), The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Click (2006).
Neely won an Emmy Award in 2021 for the main title theme of The Flight Attendant and has received seven Emmy nominations in total, including for The Pacific.
