Biography
Brooke Smith is an American actress. Born on 22 May 1967 in New York City, she trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is the daughter of entertainment publicist Lois Smith.
Smith's breakthrough film role was as Catherine Martin in The Silence of the Lambs (1991). She has appeared in other films including Vanya on 42nd Street (1994) and Interstellar (2014). On television she played Dr. Erica Hahn in Grey's Anatomy and Sheriff Jane Greene in Bates Motel, with guest and recurring roles in series such as The Good Doctor and Them.
