Biography
Bryan Pringle (19 January 1935 – 15 May 2002) was an English character actor. Born in Glascote, Tamworth, Staffordshire, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he won the Bancroft Gold Medal in 1954. He began his career in theatre with the Old Vic company in the mid-1950s.
Pringle appeared in numerous film and television productions over several decades. His film credits include an uncredited role as a driver in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), Jack in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960), Spiro in Brazil (1985) and Pfister in Haunted Honeymoon (1986). On television he played Barker in Inspector Morse (1989) and Felix Norman in Prime Suspect (1991). He was married to actress Anne Jameson from 1958 until her death in 1999; they had two children.
