Biography
Cam McLauchlin is a Canadian film editor. Born on 3 March 1978 in Kitchener, Ontario, he began his career in Toronto as an assistant editor on features including Pacific Rim (2013) and Crimson Peak (2015).
He served as associate editor and music editor on The Shape of Water (2017) and edited Nightmare Alley (2021), both directed by Guillermo del Toro. McLauchlin edited Megalopolis (2024) for Francis Ford Coppola, as well as The Void (2016), Teen Spirit (2018), Disappearance at Clifton Hill (2019) and The Last Showgirl (2024). His television credits include episodes of The Strain and Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022).
He received a Directors Guild of Canada award for outstanding achievement in picture editing for Nightmare Alley and has earned further Canadian Screen Awards and DGC nominations.
