Biography
Caroline Aaron is an American actress. Born in Richmond, Virginia, she studied performing arts at American University and acting at HB Studio in New York. She made her screen debut in 1982 in Robert Altman's Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and has appeared in films by Woody Allen, Mike Nichols and Nora Ephron, including Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), Heartburn (1986) and Sleepless in Seattle (1993).
She is known for roles in Edward Scissorhands (1990), the 21 Jump Street films (2012 and 2014), and as a series regular on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017–2023), for which the ensemble won Screen Actors Guild Awards. Aaron has also performed on Broadway and appeared in Theater Camp (2023) as Rita Cohen.
