Biography
Don Lake, also credited as Donald Lake, is a Canadian actor, writer and television producer. He was born on 26 November 1956 in Toronto, Ontario.
After graduating from the California Institute of the Arts, Lake joined the Second City Touring Company in Toronto and later performed on its main stage. He is frequently cast by director Christopher Guest and has collaborated regularly with Bonnie Hunt.
His film roles include Mr Wig in Police Academy (1984), a part in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Dr Meldman in Dumb and Dumber To (2014). He voiced Stu Hopps in Zootopia (2016) and its 2025 sequel, and appeared in Guest mockumentaries such as Waiting for Guffman (1996) and Best in Show (2000). Lake also featured in the series Space Force (2020–2022).
