Biography
Elisabeth Kiernan Averick is an American writer and producer. She has written episodes of the animated series The Simpsons since 2020 and has held producer, supervising producer and co-executive producer roles on the show. She previously worked on the musical comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2019) as a writer, story editor and co-producer, having begun there as a writers' assistant.
Her other credits include production work on the film Selma (2014) and writing for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. She co-wrote the Simpsons shorts The Good, the Bart, and the Loki (2021) and When Billie Met Lisa (2022). Averick has received Primetime Emmy nominations for her work on The Simpsons and When Billie Met Lisa. She is married to film editor and producer Spencer Averick.
