Biography

Elliot Scott was a British production designer and art director. Born in London in 1915, he began working in the film industry in the 1940s, initially as a draughtsman and assistant art director on productions including Black Narcissus (1947) and I Know Where I'm Going! (1945). He later became known for his production design on several major films.

His credits include Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Labyrinth (1986), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Scott received three Academy Award nominations for his work. He died in Hillingdon, Middlesex, in 1993. His son Stephen Scott is also a production designer.
