Biography
Gemma Jackson is a British production designer and art director. She studied fine art painting at Saint Martin’s School of Art and completed a postgraduate course in theatre design. She worked in theatre for around ten years before transitioning to film in the early 1980s.
Jackson designed the first three seasons of Game of Thrones (2011–2013), winning a Primetime Emmy Award, and the miniseries John Adams (2008), for which she won a second Emmy. She received an Academy Award nomination for Finding Neverland (2004) and has collaborated repeatedly with director Guy Ritchie on King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017), Aladdin (2019) and The Gentlemen (2019). Her credits also include Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), The Outfit (2022) and Lee (2023). She is married to production designer Andrew McAlpine.
