Biography
Greg Ellis, also credited as Gregory Ellis, Jonny Rees or Gregg Ellis, is an English actor. Born Jonathan Rees on 21 March 1968 in Wigan, Lancashire, he has appeared in film, television, video games and theatre.
He is known for playing Lieutenant (later Lieutenant Commander) Theodore Groves in the Pirates of the Caribbean films The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), At World's End (2007) and On Stranger Tides (2011). Other film roles include the Carpathia Steward in Titanic (1997), Chief Engineer Olsen in Star Trek (2009), and appearances in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013). On television he has featured in series including Lucifer, Dexter and The X-Files.
