Biography
Guillermo Navarro is a Mexican cinematographer and television director. Born in Mexico City in 1955, he studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and trained in Paris before beginning his career as a still photographer and later working as a camera assistant.
He collaborated frequently with directors Robert Rodriguez and Guillermo del Toro. Navarro shot Jackie Brown (1997) for Quentin Tarantino, as well as Cronos (1992), Desperado (1995), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), The Devil's Backbone (2001), Hellboy (2004) and Pan's Labyrinth (2006), for which he received the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. He has also worked on films including Night at the Museum (2006) and later directed television series.
