Biography
Heide Perlman is an American television writer and producer. She began her career as a writer on the sitcom Cheers from 1982 to 1986, later serving as a producer on the series. She went on to work as a writer, producer and story editor on numerous programmes, including Frasier (where she contributed episodes and served as consulting producer and co-executive producer), The Tracey Ullman Show (which she co-created), The George Carlin Show, Stacked and B Positive.
Perlman has received two Primetime Emmy Awards and eight further nominations. She is the younger sister of actress Rhea Perlman.
