Biography
James D. Ballas was an American film and television editor. He began his career in sound effects before moving into editing in the early 1950s.
Ballas edited episodes of several television series, including eight episodes of The Fugitive (1963) and twelve episodes of Star Trek (1966) during its first and second seasons. His feature film credits include The Shaggy Dog (1959). He also worked on series such as Green Acres, Ben Casey and Night Gallery.
Ballas received a Primetime Emmy Award for his editing work.
