Biography
James Jacks was an American film producer. He produced The Mummy (1999), The Mummy Returns (2001) and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), as well as The Scorpion King (2002), Tombstone (1993) and Dazed and Confused (1993). He served as executive producer on Raising Arizona (1987) and other films.
Jacks co-founded Alphaville Films with Sean Daniel in 1992. He produced the first Hollywood features of Richard Linklater, the Coen brothers and Kevin Smith. He died on 20 January 2014 in Los Angeles.
