James Le Gros is an American actor. He was born on 27 April 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Le Gros played Roach in the 1991 film Point Break and Chris in the 1995 film Safe. He received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Male for his performance in Living in Oblivion (1995).

His other credits include Drugstore Cowboy (1989) and recurring roles in television series such as Ally McBeal.
