Biography
Jane Petrie is a Scottish costume designer. She studied costume at Wimbledon School of Art, graduating in 1992, and began her career in wardrobe departments on films including Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Notting Hill (1999) and Elizabeth (1998). She later worked as assistant costume designer on productions such as The Constant Gardener (2005) and 1408 (2007).
As lead costume designer, her credits include 28 Weeks Later (2007), Moon (2009), Fish Tank (2009), Suffragette (2015), Outlaw King (2018) and The King (2019). On television she has designed for The Crown (2016–2017) and The Essex Serpent (2022).
Petrie won a Primetime Emmy and a Costume Designers Guild Award for her work on season two of The Crown, and a BAFTA TV Craft Award for The Essex Serpent.
