Biography
Jeffrey L. Kimball is an American cinematographer. He studied radio and television at North Texas State University, graduating in 1964. After early work in commercials and as a trainee at Warner Bros., he returned to Hollywood in 1972 and progressed through roles including assistant cameraman and second-unit director of photography.
Kimball's feature credits include Top Gun (1986), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Jacob's Ladder (1990), True Romance (1993), Mission: Impossible II (2000), Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) and The Expendables (2010). He has worked frequently with directors Tony Scott and John Woo. He has been a member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 1990 and received a Golden Satellite Award nomination for Mission: Impossible II.
