Biography
John Ortiz is an American actor born on 23 May 1968. He began his career in theatre as a co-founder of the LAByrinth Theater Company in New York and later served as one of its artistic directors alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Ortiz is known for film roles including Arturo Braga in Fast & Furious (2009) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Ronnie in Silver Linings Playbook (2012), and Arthur in American Fiction (2023). He received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Male for his performance as Clyde in Jack Goes Boating (2010). He has also appeared in American Gangster (2007) and other films and television series.
