Biography
John Sorapure is a British cinematographer and second unit director of photography. He began working in television in the early 1990s as a news and current affairs cameraman before moving into documentary and comedy programming.
He has served as director of photography on series including Inside No. 9 (2014–2020), Ted Lasso (2020–2021), Code 404 (2020) and Worzel Gummidge (2019–2020). His feature credits include Bunny and the Bull (2009), Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans (2019), Click & Collect (2018) and The Wasp (2024). He has also worked as second unit director of photography on Barbie (2023), Wonka (2023) and The Little Mermaid (2023).
Sorapure received seven Emmy Awards for his work on Ted Lasso.
