Biography
Jonas Pate is an American screenwriter, director and producer. Born on 15 January 1970 in North Carolina, he is the twin brother of filmmaker Josh Pate and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in philosophy.
With his brother, Pate wrote and directed the films The Grave (1996) and Deceiver (1997). He co-created the series Good vs Evil (1999) and Surface (2005). Pate has directed episodes of Battlestar Galactica (2004), Friday Night Lights (2006), Chuck (2007), Caprica (2010) and The Event (2010). He co-created the Netflix series Outer Banks (2020) and directed the television film Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (2012).
