Biography
Jonathan Lisco is a television writer, producer and director. A former attorney in New York City, he began his television career as a staff writer on the ABC series NYPD Blue, contributing stories and teleplays in 2001.
He has served as showrunner on several series, including Halt and Catch Fire (2014–2015), for which he also wrote episodes, and Animal Kingdom (2016–2022), which he developed for television. Lisco is co-showrunner and executive producer on Yellowjackets (2021–), where he has also written and directed episodes. His other credits include creating K-Ville (2007–2008) and work on Southland and The District.
In 2025 he signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television and HBO Max. He received a Peabody Award for Southland and was named Showrunner of the Year at the 2022 Banff World Media Festival.
