Biography
José Salcedo Palomeque was a Spanish film editor. He maintained a long collaboration with director Pedro Almodóvar, editing every one of his films from Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón (1980) through Julieta (2016). He is also credited on numerous other Spanish productions, including work with Agustín Díaz Yanes and Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón.
Salcedo won the Goya Award for Best Editing three times, for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), Nobody Will Speak of Us When We're Dead (1995) and All About My Mother (1999). He received the Gold Medal of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España in 2017. He died in Madrid on 19 September 2017.
