Biography
Joseph Whipp is an American actor. He was born on 12 July 1941 in San Francisco, California.
He taught drama at Carlmont High School in the 1970s before beginning his acting career. His first credited film role was as a prison guard in Escape from Alcatraz (1979).
Whipp is known for supporting roles in horror films directed by Wes Craven, including Sergeant Parker in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and Sheriff Burke in Scream (1996). He has also appeared in television series including recurring roles on the soap operas Days of Our Lives and Generations.
