Biography
Ken Keeler is an American television writer and producer. He has written for The Simpsons (1989), serving as a writer and producer on episodes including "A Star Is Burns" (1995) and "The Principal and the Pauper" (1997). He has also contributed under the pseudonym Nona di Spargement to later episodes of the series.
Keeler studied applied mathematics at Harvard University, graduating summa cum laude in 1983, and earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and a PhD from Harvard in 1990. He worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories before beginning a writing career that included work for David Letterman and series such as Wings (1990) and The Critic (1994).
He was instrumental in the creation of Futurama (1999), serving as co-executive producer for its first three seasons and executive producer for the fourth, and wrote numerous episodes including the original series finale "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" (2003) and the Writers Guild of America Award-winning "Godfellas" (2002) and "The Prisoner of Benda" (2010). He also wrote for Disenchantment (2018) and the Futurama direct-to-DVD films Bender's Big Score (2007) and Into the Wild Green Yonder (2009).
