Biography
Laura Ziskin was an American film producer. She graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 1973 and began her career in development and production roles.
She served as executive producer on Pretty Woman (1990) and producer on Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007). She also produced the 74th and 79th Academy Awards telecasts, becoming the first woman to do so alone. Her later credits include The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Butler (2013), both released posthumously.
Ziskin died of breast cancer on 12 June 2011 in Santa Monica, California, aged 61.
