Biography
Linda DeScenna is an American set decorator and production designer. Born in Warren, Ohio, she graduated from Kent State University in 1971 with degrees in cinematography and painting. She began working in film in the late 1970s.
Her early credits as set decorator include Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), Blade Runner (1982), The Goonies (1985), Rain Man (1988) and Back to the Future Part II (1989). She received five Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction for her set decoration work. From the mid-1990s she worked primarily as a production designer, with credits including Father of the Bride Part II (1995), Liar Liar (1997), Patch Adams (1998), Galaxy Quest (1999), Bruce Almighty (2003), Evan Almighty (2007) and Bedtime Stories (2008). She retired from film work after 2008.
