Biography
Marcos Siega is an American film and television director, producer and musician. Born in New York City, he helped form the New York punk band Bad Trip in the late 1980s before moving into music video direction. He directed videos for artists including Blink-182, Weezer, Papa Roach and System of a Down; his work on Blink-182's "All the Small Things" received three MTV Video Music Award nominations and the Papa Roach video "Broken Home" earned a Grammy nomination.
Siega began directing television episodes in the early 2000s. He directed nine episodes of Dexter (2006) and later episodes of Dexter: New Blood (2021) and Dexter: Resurrection (2025), as well as the pilot and multiple episodes of The Vampire Diaries (2009), on which he also served as co-executive producer. His other credits include episodes of True Blood (2008), Veronica Mars (2004), The Following, You (2018) and The Flight Attendant (2020). He has directed the feature films Pretty Persuasion (2005), Underclassman (2005) and Chaos Theory (2008).
