Biography

Marcus Rowland is a British production designer. Born on an RAF base in Germany near the Dutch border, he studied art at York Art College and North Staffordshire University before moving to London, where he began working in commercials and music videos.

He has maintained a long collaboration with director Edgar Wright, serving as production designer on Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), The World's End (2013), Baby Driver (2017), Last Night in Soho (2021) and The Running Man (2025). Other credits include Attack the Block (2011), Rocketman (2019), The Kid Who Would Be King (2019), All the Old Knives (2022) and the series Lockwood & Co. (2023). He has received several British Film Designers Guild awards and the Campari Passion for Film award at the 2021 Venice Film Festival.
