Biography
Mark A. Burley is an American television director, producer and writer. Born in Berlin, Germany, in 1951, he studied psychology at Bristol University before moving to the United States in 1974. He began his career producing television commercials in Los Angeles and later worked as a unit production manager and assistant director on series including The Incredible Hulk.
Burley produced multiple episodes of Simon & Simon, Murder, She Wrote and Weeds, and served as producer on Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019). As a director he has worked on episodes of The Incredible Hulk, Orange Is the New Black (including the series finale), GLOW and Teenage Bounty Hunters. He has received four Primetime Emmy nominations for producing and a Producers Guild of America award.
