Biography
Mark Lewis Jones is a Welsh actor. Born on 31 August 1964 in Rhosllannerchrugog, Wrexham, he began acting as a teenager with the Clwyd Youth Theatre and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. He has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company and at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.
Jones is known for roles including Tom Christie in the series Outlander (2014–), Shagga in Game of Thrones (2011), Captain Canady in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), General Pikalov in Chernobyl (2019) and Edward Millward in The Crown (2016). He won a BAFTA Cymru award for Best Actor for his performance in the 2015 film The Passing / Yr Ymadawiad.
