Biography

Maryann Brandon is an American film and television editor. She is a frequent collaborator with director J. J. Abrams and has often worked alongside editor Mary Jo Markey.

Brandon earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work on the television series Alias. She co-edited Abrams' feature films including Mission: Impossible III (2006), Star Trek (2009), Super 8 (2011), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), the last of which brought her an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing shared with Markey. Other credits include How to Train Your Dragon (2010), Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), Passengers (2016), Venom (2018), Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021).
