Biography
Matt Groening is an American cartoonist, writer and producer. He created the comic strip Life in Hell, which first appeared in 1977 and was sold professionally in 1978. He graduated from Evergreen State College in 1977.
Groening is best known as the creator of the animated series The Simpsons, which began as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987 before premiering as a series in 1989. He later created Futurama (1999) and Disenchantment (2018). The Simpsons is the longest-running American primetime scripted television series.
