Biography
Maura Tierney is an American actress. Born on 3 February 1965 in Boston, Massachusetts, she trained at New York University and the Circle in the Square Theatre School.
She is known for her television roles as Lisa Miller in the sitcom NewsRadio (1995–1999) and as Abby Lockhart in the medical drama ER (1999–2009). Tierney received a Golden Globe Award for her performance as Helen Solloway in The Affair (2014–2019).
Her film credits include Primal Fear (1996), Liar Liar (1997), Insomnia (2002), Beautiful Boy (2018), The Report (2019), The Iron Claw (2023) and Twisters (2024).
