Biography
Merritt Wever is an American actress. She was born on 11 August 1980 in New York City and graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Sarah Lawrence College.
She has appeared in films including Signs (2002), Michael Clayton (2007) as Anna, Into the Wild (2007), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014), and Marriage Story (2019). On television she has had roles in The Wire (2002), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006–2007), New Girl (2013), The Walking Dead (2015–2016), Nurse Jackie (2009–2015), Godless (2017), Unbelievable (2019) and Severance (2025).
Wever won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Nurse Jackie in 2013 and for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Godless in 2018.
