Biography
Michael Brook is a Canadian composer, guitarist, producer and recording artist. Born in 1952 in Toronto, Ontario, he began his career as a recording artist and collaborator, working with musicians including Brian Eno and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He invented the Infinite Guitar and has produced albums across genres including ambient, world and minimalism.
Brook moved to Los Angeles in 1999 to focus on film and television scoring. His credits include the HBO series Deadwood (2004) and films such as Into the Wild (2007), The Fighter (2010), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) and Brooklyn (2015). He received a Golden Globe nomination for Into the Wild and ASCAP awards for The Fighter and The Vow (2012).
