Biography
Michael Pressman (born 1950) is an American film and television director and producer. He was born in New York City and studied filmmaking at the California Institute of the Arts.
His feature film credits include The Great Texas Dynamite Chase (1976), Doctor Detroit (1983), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991) and To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996). On television he has directed episodes of Law & Order (1990), Boston Legal (2004), Grey's Anatomy (2005), Weeds (2005) and Damages (2007), among many other series.
Pressman served as co-executive producer on Picket Fences, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. He is the son of stage and television director David Pressman.
